Free-agent running back Derek Watson, who had a troubled career at the University of South Carolina, signed a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday.
Watson (6-1, 210) spent some time in camp with the New England Patriots in 2003, but was released before the start of the season.
He was dismissed from the Gamecocks for a drug arrest before his senior season, and finished his collegiate career at S.C. State.
Also on Monday, Furman wide receiver Issac West (5-11, 187) signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, and North Greenville offensive lineman Amos Lamb (6-5, 317) signed with the Washington Redskins. |
